When I started researching how to train for the marathon with the goal of breaking 3 hours, I came across a lot of posts from people who talked about negotiating time away from their families to train. At the time, I had all the time in the world to train, and didn’t give too much thought to what I would do in that situation.

Recently I have been the one trying to navigate family and training, firstly with the birth of my daughter in 2019 and then the birth of my son in 2021.

Along the way I have written about my experiences running while pregnant and after giving birth and the things I have learnt along the way
